Found here. Import Tuner's Fact or Fiction articles aren't the most in-depth in the world, but they do test the gimmicks and myths out there concerning modifications, additives, and the whole nine yards. It's decently solid information that gives a step-by-step procedure on what they're doing when they're testing the product at hand. The Fact or Fiction articles covers hollowed catalytic converters, Octane Booster, Fuel Line Magnets, and so on.

Well, a few new Fact or Fiction articles have come out, but the newest one hasn't been put on their website yet. In any case, the entire article is about whether or not raising the back of the hood will lower engine and intake temperatures at idle and cruising or if while cruising it will have a "cowl" effect where the hot air will stay in the engine bay while cruising. Well, it doesn't lower the temperature significantly across the board, around 10*-15* Farenheit, but that's quite a bit for just putting some washers. Couple that with Redline's Water Wetter, a lower degree thermostat (unless joining the two would be bad, but I highly doubt it), wrapping the intake, there should be quite the improvement. And, as IT said, it'll work even better if there's a turbocharger under the hood.
