When was this going to happen? I am out probably due to family issues unless its later in the year. Which i don't think anyone would want to drive for due to weather. Us west coast people do not have that problem as much.

I still have my original 1.8 93 eclipse and still very much plan on building it. But that has been put on hold for a while. If i could ask something of the...

Boreing the cylinders will increase your displacememnt, yes, however, if you use my displacement calculator I made (http://www.turboshack.com/misc/App/Alpha/EngineCalc_Alpha_0_0_6.zip) You will see that with the factory bore of 80.6mm the factory displacement is 1755cc. Now, a .020" bore is ap...

If your cylinders are in good condition, don't bore it. These are very thin walled blocks. You want to keep all the meat you can. Only take off what is REQUIRED. Even if your cylinders are scored, you may be able to get away with just a simple hone. Don't bore unless you absolutely have to. Sorry i...

Do you plan on doing a rebuild even after buying a new motor? The reason I ask is that if you plan on a rebuild, the condition of the engine is irrelevant. You can just get a motor out of any parts car, running or not, build it, and, in a sense, have a brand new motor. If you can't find a "lik...

Yea i actually found a couple of good parts cars, but the motors were so badly beaten that it was not anything to go spend money on. I want to hopefully get something that is as close to brand new as i can get. It would give me a much more reliable platform to start building on. And i could use this...

Well i went ahead and replaced the MAF and both o2 sensors. Im taking it tomorrow for a smog test and i have my fingers crossed. However im almost certain the noise my mechanic was hearing is a rod knock! Not happy about that. Im looking into a full rebuild soon. But i have a question. I was looking...

Wow maryland has emissions testing? Anything like california's smog testing?
They test the amount of hydrocarbons and a few other elements coming out the pipe at different speeds and rpm's.
I thought california was the only state with any kind of testing.
